We are pleased to invite you to advanced EGEE project course organized by CESNET institute. This course freely follows the induction EGEE course in which the attendees got a basic information concerning EGEE project. The main motivation for the advanced course is to allow detailed familiarization with the way of work in grid environment of the EGEE Grid for those interested. A talk from Roberto Barbera - one of the authors of grid portal GENIUS allowing intuitive work in grid environment - will be part of the course. Major part of the course will be devoted to work in fully production EGEE Grid environment. The course attendants will personally try to submit computational jobs, monitor their status, get calculated output and administer data management. To allow you to work in distributed environment of the EGEE Grid, it is necessary to obtain a valid certificate of virtual laboratory GILDA and subsequently register yourself into the virtual organization GILDA VO (that will create for you a virtual working space where you will follow all practical examinations) before coming to the course. It is impossible to use CA CESNET certificate for the course purpose, because GILDA/GENIUS support only dissemination certification authority. In the case you do not have enough time to go through all necessary steps described below, there will be a possibility to get GILDA certificate during the seminar, nevertheless the preferred way is to obtain the GILDA certificate in advance. Read detailed instructions for obtaining GILDA certificate and registration into GILDA VO ! Moreover - based on your requests from the induction course - there will be again CESNET registration and certification authority available at the advanced course. This will allow you to obtain long-term CA CESNET certificate. If you do not have a valid CA CESNET certificate, read the instructions how to obtain it (in CZ)! WARNING: The number of places in the classroom is limited. Therefore, register as soon as possible! We reserve the right to select among the registered persons those who have already visited the EGEE induction course. In the case, that the interest in the course will exceed the capacity of the classroom, we will be forced to refuse those interested or organize similar course later, respectively. |
